ชุดเหล็กตีไกลนั้นดีจริงหรือ

ต่อจากความเดิมตอนที่แล้วเกิดคำถามขึ้นมาระหว่าง Mizuno MP 63 Project X 5.5 VS Mizuno MX 300 Dynalite Gold XP R300 เหล็กชุดไหนมีวิถีลูกต่ำกว่ากัน? ลองตอบคำถามก่อนนะครับแล้วค่อยอ่านต่อ ผมว่าหลายท่านคงจะคิดเหมือนผม เรื่องมันยาวแต่ก็จะพยามยามทำให้มันสั้นและเข้าใจง่ายครับ

ทาง Golf Digest ได้ให้นักกอล์ฟที่มีแต้มต่อปานกลางกับนักกอล์ฟฝีมือดีได้ทำการทดลองกับเครื่อง TrackMan ด้วยการใช้เหล็ก 6 องศาที่ 29 (ชัน) และเหล็ก 6 องศาที่ 31 (อ่อน) ผลจากการทดสอบปรากฏว่านักกอล์ฟที่มีแต้มต่อปานกลางกลับได้ประโยชน์สูงสุดจากการใช้องศาที่ชัน เพราะสามารถตีระยะแครี่ได้มากถึง 6 หลา แต่วิถีลูกนั้นต่ำกว่าอยู่ 2 องศา ส่วนในแนวดิ่งนั้นวิถีลูกที่ตกถึงพื้นมีองศาที่ชันกว่า 3 องศา ถือว่าเป็นการ Win Win ได้ทั้งระยะและการควบคุมที่ดีขึ้น การที่วิถีสูงและลูกตกในแนวดิ่งมากเท่าไหร่ก็สามารถควบคุมได้มากขึ้น เพราะตกแล้วไม่ค่อยวิ่ง

แต่เมื่ออาทิตย์ที่ผ่านมาพอดีผมเห็นคนเขามาถอดก้านออกจาก FT-9 Tour ผมก็ขอพี่เขาชั่งน้ำหนักหัวดู ซึ่งหนักแค่ 202 กรัมนิดหน่อย ผมก็ถามต่อไปว่าพี่ซื้อราคาโปรโมชั่นในนี้หรือเปล่า ซึ่งก็เป็นอย่างนั้นจริง คำถามต่อมาทำไมน้ำหนักหัวถึงไม่เท่ากัน หรือว่าเป็นอย่างนี้ทุกหัวที่ขายในประเทศไทย ผมเคยวัดสวิงเวทก้าน Diamana Kaili ได้สวิงเวทที่ D 1.4 และได้ลองตีในสนามไดร์ฟก็ตีไม่ค่อยได้ระยะ กับความเร็วหัวไม้ของผมที่เกินร้อยนิดๆ

ปุ่มรองเท้ากอล์ฟใครว่าไม่สำคัญ

ห้ามรองเท้ากอล์ฟพื้นตะปูขึ้นบนอาคาร ซักไม่แน่ใจกับคำเตือน ณ ปัจจุบันว่ายังมีรองเท้ากอล์ฟที่มีปุ่มตะปูขายอยู่หรือเปล่า อายุกอล์ฟของผมนั้นน้อยยังไม่เคยเห็นครับ

ความสำคัญของปุ่มรองเท้านั้นสำคัญมากลองนึกดูการยึดเกาะพื้นของรองเท้าผ้าใบกับรองเท้ากอล์ฟ ประเภทไหนที่เกาะพื้นได้ดีกว่ากัน แล้วรองเท้ากอล์ฟที่ปุ่มสึกจนโล้นกับรองเท้ากอล์ฟที่เพิ่งจะเปลี่ยนปุ่มใหม่ๆ แล้วมันจะมีผลต่อการยืน Set up และผลอื่นๆ ตามมาอีกไหม

น้ำหนัก Putter นั้นสำคัญยังไง

 

น้ำหนักรวมของพัตต์นั้นสำคัญต่อเกมส์กอล์ฟเหมือนกัน ผมก็ได้รับความเชื่อที่ผิดๆ มาแรมปีด้วยความเชื่อที่ว่าพัตต์เตอร์ที่มีน้ำหนักเบา เหมาะกับลักษณะกรีนที่ไว และพัตต์เตอร์ที่มีน้ำหนักมากเหมาะสำหรับกรีนที่ค่อนข้างฝืด

มาดูความคิดที่ตรงกันข้าม พัตต์เตอร์ที่มีน้ำหนักที่หัวต่ำกว่า 340 กรัมนั้นเหมาะสำหรับกรีนที่ค่อนข้างฝืดเพราะจะทำให้ต้องสวิงหัวพัตต์เตอร์มากขึ้น ส่วนในกรีนที่เร็วนั้นพัตต์เตอร์ที่หัวมีน้ำหนักมาก จะทำให้ท่าน Back swing สั้นลง ทำให้การพัตต์ของท่านนั้นแม่นยำมากยิ่งขึ้น จริงหรือไม่ไปพิสูจน์ด้วยตัวท่านเองนะครับ
