The MP-63 iron is an evolution of Mizuno's most popular tour iron. The legendary Grain Flow Forging process combines with an innovative Diamond Muscle design to create the perfect blend of feel and control in a "player's" cavity.
The design goal of the MP-63 was to retain the iconic head profile (head size, top line, offset, sole width), which Mizuno is know for and also prolific on the world's professional tours, and make an improvement in feel and versatility.
Through the use of Modal Analysis, Mizuno studied vibration simulations of the head and experimented with several methods of affecting the sound and feel at impact. Numerous new concepts were then blind tested by Mizuno's tour team, including Luke Donald, and the Diamond Muscle Design, which reinforces the head from heel to toe, was the unanimous winner.
The sole of the MP-63 includes the visible 360° grind on the trailing edge for precise turf interaction that delivers complete shot versatility, and the progressive player's cavity ensures playability in the long irons while delivering pin seeking control in the scoring irons.

Iron Pw Project X 5.5 เป็นรุ่นใหม่ล่าสุดของ Mizuno ซึ่งมาแทนรุ่นก่อนหน้าคือ Mizuno MP 62 ด้วยรูปทรงแทบไม่ค่อยจะแตกต่างกันสักเท่าไหร่ ขนาดใบกระทัดรัดเหมาะสำหรับนักกอล์ฟฝีมือดีที่ต้องการแต่งซ็อต แต่ก็ยังไม่ยากเท่ากับเหล็กเบลด ก็เป็นเหล็ก Cavity ที่น่าสนใจตัวหนึ่ง ณ ตอนนี้ และผมคาดว่าในปี 2011 ก็น่าจะได้รางวัล Golf Digest Gold Award แน่ครับ
ส่วนก้าน Px 5.5 นั้นมีน้ำหนักอยู่ที่ 115 กรัม จุดดีดของก้านอยู่ที่เดียวกันหมดให้วิถีลูกต่ำ เป็นก้านที่ผมตีได้ดีที่สุด น้ำหนักไม่มากจนเกินไป
พอได้มาก็ลองตีไม่กี่ลูกในสนามไดร์ฟ แล้วก็เอาไปออกรอบมาแล้วครับ ที่ผมชอบก็คือตอน Impact ลูกนั้นมันเฉียบขาด ด้วย Sole ที่กำลังสวย แต่ก็ยังมากกว่าใบเบลด
Modified U-grooves ในเหล็กสั้นนั้นดีมากเลย ระหว่างที่ออกรอบผมสามารถตีเหล็ก 9 ห่างจากจุดตกไม่ถึงฟุต สภาพกรีนนั้นค่อนข้างแข็งอยู่เหมือนกันครับ
Modified U-grooves ในเหล็กสั้นนั้นดีมากเลย ระหว่างที่ออกรอบผมสามารถตีเหล็ก 9 ห่างจากจุดตกไม่ถึงฟุต สภาพกรีนนั้นค่อนข้างแข็งอยู่เหมือนกันครับ
ส่วนวิถีลูกนั้นต่ำกว่า MP 58 อยู่พอสมควรเพราะ MP 58 ที่เหล็ก 7 นั้นองศา 35 ส่วน MP 63 นั้นมีองศาที่ 34 เป็นวิถีที่ต่ำโดยธรรมชาติ ฟิลลิ่งทั้งใบและก้านนั้นก็นุ่มนวล ส่วนหนึ่งก็เป็นเพราะกริฟที่ซับแรงกระแทกได้ดี ผมเคยใช้ MP 58 เปลี่ยนเป็นกริฟ Full cord ซึ่งฟิลลิ่งกระด้างมาก เพิ่งเข้าใจว่ากริฟก็มีส่วนสำคัญเหมือนกันครับ ส่วนกริฟที่ติดมากับ Mizuno เกือบทุกรุ่นนั้นที่เป็นรุ่น Golf Pride M-21 จะมีน้ำหนักกริฟอยู่ที่ประมาณ 54 กรัมครับ

ลองเปรียบเทียบในเหล็ก 7 วิถีลูกของ MP 63 ต่ำกว่า MP 67 อยู่นิดนึงซึ่งเป็นองศาของ MP 63 นั้นชันกว่า MP 67 หนึ่งที่ 2 องศา จึงทำให้ตีได้ระยะได้ไกลขึ้น

นั้นต่างกันที่องศา ซึ่ง MP 63 ชั้นกว่า 1 องศา ตั้งแต่ PW-Iron 6 แต่ Iron 5-Iron 3 นั้นมีองศาที่เท่ากัน ส่วนอย่างอื่นจำไม่ได้แล้วครับ ถ้าท่านที่ใช้ MP 62 อยู่แล้วอยากเปลี่ยนเป็น MP 63 นั้นผมว่าอยู่เฉยๆ ดีกว่า เพราะสิ่งที่เห็นแตกต่างกันอยู่นิดเดียว แต่ถ้าท่านใช้ MP 57 อยู่ก็ยังเป็นอะไรที่น่าสนใจอยู่ครับ
ลองเปรียบเทียบในเหล็ก 7 วิถีลูกของ MP 63 ต่ำกว่า MP 67 อยู่นิดนึงซึ่งเป็นองศาของ MP 63 นั้นชันกว่า MP 67 หนึ่งที่ 2 องศา จึงทำให้ตีได้ระยะได้ไกลขึ้น

นั้นต่างกันที่องศา ซึ่ง MP 63 ชั้นกว่า 1 องศา ตั้งแต่ PW-Iron 6 แต่ Iron 5-Iron 3 นั้นมีองศาที่เท่ากัน ส่วนอย่างอื่นจำไม่ได้แล้วครับ ถ้าท่านที่ใช้ MP 62 อยู่แล้วอยากเปลี่ยนเป็น MP 63 นั้นผมว่าอยู่เฉยๆ ดีกว่า เพราะสิ่งที่เห็นแตกต่างกันอยู่นิดเดียว แต่ถ้าท่านใช้ MP 57 อยู่ก็ยังเป็นอะไรที่น่าสนใจอยู่ครับ
